Today marks two big things…my 100th run and the week of the half marathon!
I’m excited to hit my 100th run before the half marathon. I’m sure a lot of people hit their 100th run a lot faster than I did…and honestly, I would have thought that I would have too, but let’s face it…I slack off a lot.
Also, this is my 100th run according to Nike+. I have fun without the sensor before, so I did hit my 100th run before then, but I’m using Nike for my stats, so that’s what matters.
So as I mentioned, this week is the final week of training before Disney’s Wine and Dine Half Marathon. The excitement and the nerves are starting to kick in. I went to the gym after work today to fit in a run. It was a little shorter than I planned, but the gym was packed and there was a waiting list for the treadmill, so I didn’t want to occupy the machine for too long.
I felt good with the run I did though. Tomorrow I’m going to Pilates just to get a bit of strength training in. Wednesday I figure I’ll go for another run and then relax until Saturday when I run the half marathon. I don’t want to push myself this week. The time for that is over. Now it’s time to prepare mentally and keep telling myself that I know I can do it!
