It’s almost 2013 and personally, I cannot wait to say goodbye to 2012. This year has been pretty sucky. The highlights of course were graduating, getting into to NYU and moving to NYC, and my job, but I had plenty of other drama to counteract everything that seemed good.
Of course, my running highlights of the year are my first race and my first half marathon. Although, I don’t really have any running goals for 2013. I don’t have that burning desire to run another half like everyone said I would, so I’m putting that off until 2014 when I plan to do Disney’s Coast to Coast Challenge. 2013 is going to be about being healthy and just running for the fun of running.
So for 2013 my weekly schedule is going to consist of three days of running and two days of Pilates and/or strength training. The remaining two days will be rest days (and homework)! I also have one race planned. Although, it’s hard to call it that.
I will be doing the Royal Family 5K in DisneyWorld again, but my 8 year old cousins will be joining. That means it will be a very slow race. I’ll probably be walking the whole thing. But it will be fun for them and I’ll never pass on a trip to DisneyWorld. Other than that, I have no plans for races. I’m sure things will come up during the year that I will want to do. I’m stating it now though: NO half marathons and NO Color Run. You can hold me to it.
