News from the Spartan World

Awhile back I was approached by the Spartan Race again to share some exciting news. One of the big things that have started this year is the Spartan Up Podcast. If you’ve been reading my blog for some time now, then you know about the book, Spartan Up! Well author of Spartan Up! and founder of the Spartan Race, Joe De Sena is now inspiring people around the world with his podcast. You can check out the podcast here or listen on iTunes.

Other exciting news includes a new location for the Spartan Race 2015 World Championship. This year the World Championship is taking place at Squaw Valley, just outside of Lake Tahoe, October 3-4, 2015. This venue hosted the 1960 Winter Olympics. Registration is now open and, if you’re interested, you can register here.

Also, this past month, the Spartan Race introduced it’s first Spartan Cruise. This took place March 6-9, 2015 and traveled to the Bahamas. Make sure you sign up for updates on future cruises here.

If you’re new to the Spartan Race world, be sure to check out their website and my past blog post about the race in Tampa last year. If you think you’re ready to take on the challenge, use this exclusive Muffy’s Fitness Blog discount code to receive 10% off any Spartan Race in the continental United States.

And if you’re still on the fence, why not check out the upcoming Tri-State race taking place April 18th at Mountain Creek Resort in New Jersey. Mountain Creek is home to the largest ski mountain in New Jersey, making it an ideal location for a Spartan Race. With multiple peaks, there is plenty of great terrain to test out Tri-State racers. Spartans, are you prepared to take on the slopes? Registration is available here for the Tri-State race.

Other upcoming races include Citi Field, Charlotte, Las Vegas, and more! To see if a Spartan Race is coming to your area, check out their website.
